I’m fine. *look, a smile, almost unrecognizable that it’s fake.* Been getting better.

She took the twenty, her fingers started to dig into her bag as she dug out a small wallet. She pulled out a ten and replaced it with the twenty. Handing it over to Chloe before tucking her wallet back in to her bag, she pulled out another one getting some bills before looking up at her “I gave you a discount” she mumbled.

Kyle run a hand through her hair as her light blue eyes scanned through out the cafe, thinking. Trying to remember something about this cafe “Is this cafe new? Or old?” she asked softly, bringing her eyes back to Chloe’s.

“Nah, nah I’ll get myself something in a few”

“Oh, well thanks Kyle, I appreciate it,” and she did. Money was tight right now, especially with everyone she knew gone and Hunter seemingly disappeared again. She just hoped that Jabber hadn’t taken over and he was out there doing something stupid.

“This place? Well it’s an old building, used to be a bakery but now it’s the cafe. It’s been here almost five months now.”

You should definitely tell her, it’s nice to hear it from someone. You can even leave in the ‘think’ part - I think she’ll appreciate the honesty. It’s really serious between you two isn’t it?

*There’s a hint of a sad smile but she pushes it away*

Kyle nodded at the comment about sleeping “And here I thought I was sleeping the time?” she muttered. Her eyes went down to her bag as she opened it up and pulled out a thick booklet and a pen.She flipped it open and started writing some information down on to it, glancing up at Chloe. “Its going to be fifteen dollars, which isn’t that bad actually” She said with her head down as she finished up the last little bit she need to fill in.

Her eyes looked up at Chloe and smiled as she pulled out the two piece of paper, she ripped the white one off and handed it to Chloe “Okay this is for you” she said as she placed it down on the box “The amount you paid, is here” she pointed with her pen at the line. “Total amount is at the bottom and now you just need to sign your copy and mine” she said handing her the pen.

“I should have it there by tonight if not tonight early tomorrow morning.”

That was rather reasonable, probably a lot cheaper than if she had taken it to the post office and she smiled, reaching into her bag and pulling out a twenty, setting it down on the table in front of Kyle as she watched the other girl write. 

Looking over the paper, Chloe nodded and then took a deep breath. “Alright,” she signed both forms in a flourished kind of writing before setting it back down and biting her lip. “Take your time, you can deliver it whenever you have time Kyle, there’s no real rush. I just don’t trust the post office with something this personal, you know? It’s not anything valuable but it’s things Riley would want that he left behind.”

Looking up towards the counter, she offered a quick smile. “Can I get you a coffee or something?”
